delights to feel your bare feet and
the winds long to play with your hair."

I just signed up for Linkyfollowers.com and am really hoping this creates more traffic for my blog. I would love to start the Adsense that blogspot promotes, but don't get the traffic to make it worthwhile. I also need to really start blogging more and paying more attention to what people want to read about. Happy blogging!!!!

Yes, I am addicted to Pinterest in a huge way!!!!

The Kitties Will Do

I have been trying to work on taking pictures in manual, but for one reason or another, I have not been able to get anyone to set up a time with me to take pictures.  My son is three years old and has an attention span the length of his pinky finger!  In my household, the next best subject, besides dying plants, are the kitties.  Not sure they would agree that having them be my subjects for my photographs would be their first choice, but today they had no choice.  They didn't seem to mind.....that much.

These are just a few of the 6 kitties that luk around our house.  They were very cooperative and let me have some fun with my camera and Lightroom.  It was a great way to spend my 2 hours of blissful silence as my son slept and I looked at the disarray of my house and decided to have some fun instead.

Birthday and Fire Station Visit

Here's Ben eating his Birthday whoopi pie.  He was very excited!  We aren't especially huge fans of cake, well the frosting on cakes, in our house and we opt for whoopi pies instead.  My husband and I had them for our wedding cake and our son has inherited our love for  them.  We are especially fond of Steve's Snacks Whoopi Pies out of Skowhegan, Maine, so if you're ever up there or see them in the store, you better get yourself one- they are very yummy!

For my son's birthday party this year we decided to listen to what our little three year old wanted instead of making it some big to-do where everyone is invited, I'm pulling my hair out, my too-small house is filled to capacity, and in the end it wasn't all that memorable or exciting of a birthday party.  So, this three year old knew what he wanted:  his "boys" to come over to his house and to go to the fire station.  I could do that!  And so we did......
Our little fireman ready to go!

He was mesmerized by the firemen, the trucks, and waiting anxiously for his turn in the driver's seat.

Ben and his "boys"!

That is one happy little boy!
